Dharma Seva Foundation

Serving Humanity With Love & Compassion

The Spark Behind Dharma Seva

Every Tuesday, thousands of devotees gather at temples to pray to Hanuman Ji. In 2022, our founder, Ayush Koley, was one of them. But that specific Tuesday was different. Looking at the devotion around him, a profound lesson clicked: The highest form of prayer is to serve God’s creation.

Hanuman Ji is the ultimate symbol of selfless service (Seva). Armed with this realization, Ayush decided to take that divine lesson out of the temple and onto the streets.

What started as a humble initiative to distribute food to the needy on Tuesdays has now grown into the Dharma Seva Foundation. It proves that a single moment of clarity, backed by faith, can start a movement that changes lives.

Human Aid

In Sanatana Dharma, there is a beautiful saying: “Manava Seva hi Madhava Seva”—Service to humanity is service to God.

While Dharma Seva Foundation was born from a spiritual spark during a Tuesday Hanuman Ji Puja in 2022, our core mission quickly evolved into something deeply practical. Faith must manifest as real, tangible human aid.

When a family doesn't know where their next meal is coming from, or when an emergency strikes a household in our community, they don't just need prayers—they need open hands, warm food, and direct relief.

Humanity Above All: Our Commitment to Direct Aid

Every single week, our team steps onto the ground to turn these beliefs into reality. We don't view our aid drives as "charity." Charity implies a hierarchy where one person is higher than the other. To us, this is simply duty—it is looking at our neighbors and recognizing that we are all part of the same human family.

The world faces heavy challenges, but the solution is remarkably light: open your hands to give, open your heart to care, and let your actions speak louder than your words.

Let's keep moving beyond the temple walls and bringing light to the darkest corners of our community.

Moving Forward, One Life at a Time
Where Prayers Meet Action

A prayer can comfort a broken heart, but it cannot fill an empty stomach. When a family in our neighborhood is hit by a sudden crisis, or when an elderly citizen doesn't know where their next meal is coming from, they need more than just good wishes. They need:

  • Active Hands: People willing to pack, carry, and distribute meals in the heat.

  • Tangible Relief: Real resources—blankets, clean water, medical aid, and hot food—delivered straight to their doorstep.

  • Unconditional Dignity: Eye contact, a warm smile, and the reminder that they are not forgotten by society.

True faith cannot be passive. It has to roll up its sleeves, head into the alleyways, and physically lift people up.
